- Meditation cushions have come a long way since the days
when a simple swatch of cloth would do. Meditation is a
deep form of focus and relaxation, and few things can
interrupt the flow more often than an uncomfortable
perch. That's why more yoga practitioners are looking into
more advanced gel- and liquid-filled meditation cushions.
Balance is everything when you meditate. Because so
much of this practice involves remaining suspended in a
motionless state, it stands to reason that any flaws in your
posture will become magnified and increasingly painful
over time. No matter how well you are transcending the

density gels to keep your body in constant, subtle motion.

comfortable than any foam version you can buy.
Those who know tend to go with the equipment that
promotes the deepest relaxation. If you find your
meditation unsatisfying or difficult to maintain, it may be
worth it to look for some better sitting apparatus. The right
cushion could unlock places you never knew you could
visit.
